Dale Murray CBE
About me
I am an experienced board director to global technology and British businesses and a successful former technology entrepreneur.
I’m currently a non-executive board director at a range of exceptional businesses:
-
Xero (global SaaS for SMBs, ASX:XRO)
-
Lightspeed Commerce (commerce platform for merchants, NYSE:LSPD and TSX: LSPD)
-
Jupiter Fund Management (asset management, LSE:JUP)
-
Cranemere Group (New York based investment company)
Earlier in my career, I co-founded Omega Logic which launched mobile phone “top-ups” in the UK in 2001. Within 5 years our gross transaction revenue reached £450m p.a. and I completed the sale of my company to First Data Corporation.
I have held board roles in startup companies, the British central government (Department for Business and UK Trade & Investment), as well as not-for-profits such as the Peter Jones Foundation and the Centre for Entrepreneurs. I was awarded British Angel Investor of the Year in 2011. I served on the Business Taskforce for David Cameron, the former British Prime Minister, in 2013. Debretts named me one of the “500 most influential people in Britain” in 2015.
I received a CBE in June 2013 from HM the Queen, for services to business.
I work with growth businesses, led by outstanding people, to help scale and maximise their opportunities.
